Online shopping is a luxury for me. When you work at the only decent shopping mall in an 88 mile radius, you grow to appreciate the internet a little more. As you can imagine, I’ve grown to hate shopping at my local mall, so when I’m not working or trying to maintain a social life, I’m usually watching clothing hauls/shopping online. As a college student, I know it’s a bit overwhelming to walk into a store and ask if there’s a student discount and be told no. I hate spending money, even though 80% of the time I’m always in the mood to spend it so coupon codes and discounts are mama’s best friend.
If you’re not shopping on Boohoo then it’s time to pull your head out of the sand! Boohoo is talked about, but not as talked about as it should be. I hear so many people complain about how they want the latest trends at ridiculously low prices. If you’re that gal or guy, Boohoo should be your best friend. Sit down and have a nice glass of wine with the site, ask how they’re doing and see if you’re interested in what they have to offer. Online shopping is like speed dating, you never know what you’re gonna get. Since I work in retail, I know what it’s like to see the look on people’s faces when you tell them you don’t have any more in stock and then you excite them by checking online only to find that there isn’t anymore online either! What I love about Boohoo is it feels like they’re constantly restocking their site.
Missguided, just like Boohoo, is a UK based brand. Unlike Boohoo though, you can find Missguided at your local Nordstrom. While online, you can find they’re more inexpensive items and use a discount code where if you shop for the brand at Nordstrom you’re not so lucky. Missguided follows a lot of the time along the same lines as Boohoo, in the way that they’re up with the trends and they’re always giving you hella good sales and discount codes. The only thing with Missguided is, they don’t stock up as often as Boohoo does, so it’s pretty much first come first serve. The best thing about Missguided in my opinion, is the student discount. It’s constantly changing depending on the season, but if you’re shopping the site at Christmas or a little after, the discount is like 50% so of course I’m always a happy camper.
WOW ERICKA, NOT TRYING TO SAY YOU’D PREFER TO LIVE SOMEWHERE ELSE, BUT WHY ARE THREE OF YOUR FAVORITE ONLINE STORES BASED IN THE U.K.?!?!
Well, thank Amanda Bynes in “What a Girl Wants” for introducing me to British culture and making it my lifelong dream to live there, mate. Out of these three sites, ASOS is the most well-known. It’s a completely different experience due to all the different brands and the variety they give you. ASOS, is the most expensive and doesn’t offer many discount codes unless you’re a student. The best part of the site has to be their vintage marketplace. It’s rare you go on a website and search for a specific vintage item and not only find it, but it’s also a decent price.
Lilly’s Kloset is actually a new discovery for me, thanks to Buzzfeed. As of lately, I’ve been going on here quite a bit, because I’m on the hunt for an outfit for my cousins wedding in August! Lilly’s Kloset sells beautifully made items at reasonable prices. Their stock isn’t as up to date as the other stores, but it’s definitely worth checking out.
I feel so weird leaving this at four, but every other online store I shop at is an actual store. I hope you guys enjoyed this post! If there’s any online stores I didn’t mention and you guys think I should check out, be sure to leave a comment!
